Future Graphic Designers Invited to PortfolioFest 2007
High school art students have a unique opportunity to have their portfolios evaluated by Farmingdale State College's art professionals, regardless of where they will be attending college. This free evening event is perfect for high school students who may need advice on how to build a powerful portfolio. PortfolioFest gives students and parents a chance to meet the staff in the Visual Communications program, and have a one-to-one portfolio review. The demand in the area of visual arts specialists has never been greater. The low cost of tuition and the small, personalized classes at Farmingdale State create the perfect environment for artistic students to develop their talents.
PortfolioFest 2007 will be held from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 in Nathan Hale Hall. Students will be able to speak with art professors, tour the College's state-of-the-art facilities, and view portfolios of current Farmingdale State students. They can also meet with an admissions advisor, gain some insight into comparable Baccalaureate-level programs in the metropolitan area, and visit a special exhibit at the Memorial Gallery. Light refreshments will be served.
The event offers limited seating. Early reservations for the event are encouraged. For reservations call 631-420-2180 or email Yolanda.firstname.lastname@example.org. For directions and transportation options, please visit our website: www.farmingdale.edu/art.
