Two Outstanding Students Earn Awards in Chemistry

Two outstanding Farmingdale State students were honored by the Department of Chemistry on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 for their hard work and excellence.

Dr. Joseph Ursino Jr., Acting Chairman of the Department of Chemistry, awarded John Tesoriero the Outstanding General Chemistry Award for 2006-2007. Mr. Tesoriero is a Bioscience major and Staten Island resident. This award is given to the student with the best academic performance in General Chemistry Principles I & II.

Dr. Ursino presented the Best Organic Chemistry Award for 2006 -2007 to Bioscience major Kinga Williams . Ms. Williams, a Copiague resident, earned the honor by achieving the highest GPA in Organic Chemistry.
