Solar Conference Long Island 2006 at Farmingdale State
Farmingdale State University of New York is pleased to host the Solar Conference Long Island 2006. The Solar Conference is a day long event beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, April 21. It features expert speakers, workshops, vendor displays and a chance to talk to solar specialists. There will be displays of solar panels and other renewable energy equipment. Farmingdale State is proud to house one of the large solar installations on Long Island right on campus.
The conference is organized by the LI shines solar partnership, made up of Renewable Energy Long Island (RELI), LIPA and the Farmingdale State Solar Energy Center supported by a grant from the U.S Department of Energy's Million Solar Roofs Initiative. LIPA's Chairman Richard Kessel will be the keynote speaker at the conference.
The conference will provide information about the latest technology including hybrid systems. Attendees will have the opportunity to see new and aesthetically pleasing design elements and forms. Experts from RELI, LIPA and Farmingdale State Solar Energy Center will speak on multiple current energy systems and topics, including how to lower electric bills and decrease our dependence on fossil fuels. In addition, a seminar on financing and tax incentive opportunities will be offered.
Solar Conference Long Island 2006 is vital for solar installers, homeowners with current solar power systems on their homes and those who wish to install and learn more about solar power for their homes or businesses. Regular general admission is $30 at the door and includes breakfast, lunch and all materials.
