Farmingdale State Horticulture Student Awarded Scholarship
Farmingdale State University of New York's ornamental horticulture students were honored on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at the Farmingdale Horticulture Committee Annual Scholarship Reception for their hard work and excellence in the field of horticulture. Twenty-two students received scholarships in the names of influential organizations and leaders in the billion dollar 'green' industry.
Farmingdale State President Dr. Jonathan Gibralter is pleased to announce that Stephanie Scaminaci is this year's recipient of the Robert Weidler Scholarship. Stephanie, a Huntington Station resident, is a member of the Farmingdale Horticulture Club who interns in the Farmingdale State teaching gardens. Stephanie retired from Pacific Bell after 30 years of service.
The Robert Weidler Scholarship is restricted to Ornamental Horticulture students with
a GPA of 3.0 or above.
