Farmingdale State Wins Six Enrollment Advertising Awards
Farmingdale State University of New York's Office of Marketing and Communications won six national awards for creative marketing materials from The Journal, Admissions Marketing. The national competition is the oldest, largest and most prestigious advertising awards competition in higher education, receiving over 3,500 entries globally. Awards are given for work exhibiting the highest production standards, creativity and professionalism.
Vice-President of Marketing and Communications Claire Madden said, "I am extremely proud of these awards as we were selected out of thousands of entries from all over the world. What is most impressive is that all our work is created in-house with a very small staff. Because we are a state agency, I don't believe we should be spending taxpayer dollars to use outside agencies to create our work. To win six awards for our "Dream Big" campaign is a real tribute to what we can achieve using our own creativity and strategic thinking, at no additional cost to the public. Creativity and cost-efficiency won here."
In the category of colleges with enrollment of six to ten thousand students, the six awards included one Gold, one Silver and four Merit Awards. Farmingdale State won awards for its Viewbook, newspaper advertising, newspaper inserts, the President's View publication, College logo premiums and the new Dream Big recruitment mailer.
