Farmingdale State Engineering Student Awarded Three Scholarships

On March 15, 2006 The Farmingdale Foundation and Alumni Association Student Scholarship Reception was held in Roosevelt Hall's Multipurpose Room at Farmingdale State University of New York. Over $76,000 worth of scholarship money was awarded to 48 students at the reception. Farmingdale State President Jonathan C. Gibralter was pleased to announce that William K. Gash of Centereach, was this year's recipient of the Richard Cyphers Scholarship, the Dr. Horst K. Saalbach Scholarship and the Campus Fund Scholarship.

Mr. Gash graduated with honors from Daytona Beach Community College with an A.S. degree in computer aided drafting and design. He will graduate from Farmingdale State with a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering Technology. Mr. Gash is a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

The Richard Cyphers Scholarship and the Dr. Horst K. Saalback Scholarships are memorial awards restricted to outstanding students enrolled in manufacturing or mechanical engineering technology.
The Campus Fund Scholarships are awards funded through a payroll deduction option that Farmingdale State faculty and staff members choose to join.
