Farmingdale State College Celebrates Italian Culture
Arias by Puccini, a lecture on the da Vinci Code and a reading of original poetry are highlights of a special Farmingdale State College event open free to the community.
The Farmingdale Modern Languages Club and the Department of Modern Languages are sponsoring an evening of Italian Culture on Tuesday, November 14 at 7:30 pm in the Roosevelt Hall Little Theatre.
The evening includes a presentation by Visual Communications Professor Thomas Germano who is much in demand as a lecturer on Leonardo da Vinci and the da Vinci Code. Student Kathryn Burke , a talented operatic soprano will perform selected arias from Puccini. A special guest, Stony Brook University Professor Dr. Luigi Fontanella , will read his poetry.
