Graphic Design Hopefuls Plan to Attend PortfolioFest 2005

Professor Wayne Krush, Chairman of the Farmingdale State Visual Communications department, announced today that a record number of art students are expected at PortfolioFest on November 15. The College has a long history of preparing artistic students for the world of graphic and web design.

The Open House, November 15 6:30 to 8:30 PM, offers limited seating. Early reservations for the event are encouraged. "We are anticipating a record number of high school seniors," said Professor Krush, "The demand in the area of visual arts specialists has never been greater. And the low cost of tuition and small, personalized classes creates the perfect environment for artistic students to develop their talents."

The PortfolioFest will offer students studio tours, advice on the exciting career opportunities in the visual arts industry and the ability to meet with the faculty and have their portfolio of work reviewed. The Visual Communications Department offers highly personalized training in desktop publishing, graphic design, digital imaging, advertising production, illustration and web design.
