The Reference Department offers information literacy workshops to all members of the College community by request. If you are a faculty member or staff member and wish to arrange an orientation to research or an instructional workshop email

A number of scheduled information literacy workshops are offered to students, faculty and staff throughout the school year. Advertisements for these are mailed directly to each department, and advertised over campus e-mail and in the Library Newsletter. Current workshops for Faculty & Staff for Spring 2009 include:

Discovering Science & Health Information, Wed. February 18th at 12:00
Turnitin, Thurs. February 26th at 12:00
Turnitin for Angel, Tues., March. 3rd at 2:00
Information literacy instruction are held in the Library's TEC, 105 Greenley Hall or in the Whitman Hall computer labs. If you wish to arrange for an instruction session at one of the computer labs, you must first book a lab by calling Information Services, Instructional Computing at x2651.
The Library offers the following services to instructors and faculty members:
- Course-specific instruction
- Instruction tailored to a particular research assignment
- Classes in how to use the internet for research
- Library tours
- Consultations on how to design an appropriate library assignment
