Instructional Computing

Extensive computing resources are available to all students, faculty and staff to improve the quality of the learning experience at Farmingdale State. They are offered in a fresh, air conditioned and comfortable environment. All Instructional Computing labs are located in Whitman Hall and have access to the Internet, library resources and academic software. Each classroom lab is equipped with 28 computers and laser printers. The open student computer lab (Whitman 221 and 115) has state of the art computers and laser printers.

Support Services
Instructional Computing offers support to Farmingdale students as well as the entire campus community.  Such services include a Helpdesk which supports the campus community with their computing needs.  Such services include assistance with student / staff email accounts, OASIS, Banner, software installs and the installation of PCs and printers.  We currently support Windows 7 along with Microsoft Office 2010 / 2013.

Reserving a Lab
Any faculty member may schedule an Instructional lab to enhance their students' learning experience. Please call Instructional Computing at extension 2358 or 2642 to make arrangements.
