Biography

Juan is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management (OM) at FSC. Prior he worked at Albany State University (ASU) as an Associate Professor of OM and Supply Chain. At ASU, he coordinated the design and implementation of the BS in Supply Chain and the MBA concentration in Supply Chain. During his tenure, the BS program was selected as one of the 4 Flagship programs of ASU. His education background includes a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University. In addition, Juan holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification and has trained more than a three Lean Six Sigma Yellow and Green Belts. His research expertise is in the disciplines of Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and Quality Management. Juan was part of the team that created the INFORMS Innovations in Analytics Award, and he has been part of the judging panel since then. He has published and presented his scientific work in top tier journals and conferences in English and Spanish.
