Jack Zolla

Adjunct Associate Professor Email School of Business, Room 104
Hello everyone, my name is Professor Jack Zolla.

A brief background on me: I've taught as an adjunct professor at Farmingdale State College since 2014 -- teaching Intro to Sport Management (SMT 110), Sport Information Management (SMT 215), and Media and Sport (SMT 220). I developed SMT 110 and SMT 220 to be offered as online classes at Farmingdale, and have taught both online and traditional/in-person classes. I truly love teaching at the undergraduate level and find my interactions with students very rewarding -- whether that be via discussion board posts or video presentation assignments.

I have worked within the sports industry for nearly a decade in various capacities: as a Sports Information Director, as a Marketing & Communications Manager, as a freelance sports journalist, and as an NCAA Division II/III college basketball official statistician and scoreboard operator.  While attending Fordham University as an undergrad, I was the Sports Editor of the University's official newspaper The Ram, and held internships at Major League Baseball and SportsNet New York (SNY). I enjoy sharing my career experiences, stories, and advice with my students -- in an effort to better prepare them for landing that dream job upon graduation.
