The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at the State University of New York at Farmingdale exists to provide the opportunity to attend and graduate from college to students who have the potential to succeed in college, but are lacking the financial resources and the academic preparation to insure success.

The EOP program provides accepted students with the financial, academic, and personal support services to help them succeed. The EOP staff work to recruit, enroll, counsel, advise and assist the students enrolled in the program. Our goal is to help the students to remain in college, do well, and graduate.

Students must show financial need to conform to the program guidelines for acceptance and must also show the ability to succeed in their college program of study.

• Students who are residents of New York State
• Students who have a high school diploma or its equivalent
• Students who DO NOT MEET the regular admissions requirements of SUNY Farmingdale
• Students who are historically disadvantaged AND meet the economic guidelines of eligibility as established by the Office of Special Programs in Albany
• Students of ALL ETHNIC ORIGINS, if the above requirements are met.
