Upgrade to Angel 7.3

Important Information About the Angel Upgrade

Farmingdale State College will be upgrading to a new version of the Angel Learning System on January 21st and 22nd, this will make the system unavailable during this time.

Browser Requirements for Angel 7.3

PC - Windows based computers
Internet Explorer version 7.0 or higher

Firefox version 2.x - Do not use version 3.0 it is not supported at this timeBrowser

Settings That are Important

  • Pop-Up blockers must be disabled
  • Cookies must be enabled
  • Java must be enabled for all browsers used
  • SSL should be enabled since it is used by Angel

How Do I Change These Settings?

Pop-Up Blockers
Internet Exploer 7

  1. Click Tools menu
    1. Press Alt-T if you don't see a menu  
  2. Click Internet Options
  3. Click Privacy tab
  4. Click Settings under Pop-up Blocker
  5. Type esc.angellearning.com in Address of web site to allow box
  6. Click Add
  7. Click Close
  8. Click OK

Firefox 2.x

  1. Click Tools menu
  2. Click Options
  3. Click Content icon
  4. Check Block pop-up windows checkbox
  5. Click Exceptions button next to Block pop-up windows
  6. Type esc.angellearning.com in Address of web site: box
  7. Click Allow
  8. Click Close
  9. Click OK

Cookies
Internet Explorer 7

  1. Click Tools menu.
    1. Press Alt-T if you don't see a menu.
  2. Click Internet Options.
  3. Click Privacytab.
  4. Slide bar to Medium
    1. If you contiue to have problems with cookies, click Advanced
    2. Check Override automatic cookie handling checkbox
    3. Click Accept under First-party Cookies
    4. Click Accept under Third-party Cookies
    5. Check Always allow session cookies checkbox
    6. Click OK

Firefox 2.x

  1. Click Tools menu.
  2. Click Options.
  3. Click Privacy icon.
  4. Locate Cookies area on panel.
  5. Click Accept cookies from site checkbox under Cookies.
  6. Click OK.

SSL - Secure Socket Layer Settings
Internet Explorer 7

  1. Click Tools menu
    1. Press Alt-T if you don't see a menu
  2. Click Internet Options
  3. Click Advanced tab
  4. Under Security check:
    1. Use SSL 2.0
    2. Use SSL 3.0
    3. Use TLS 1.0
  5. Click OK

Firefox 2.x

  1. Click Tools
  2. Click Options
  3. Click Advanced icon
  4. Click Encryption tab
  5. Under Protocols check: 
    1. Use SSL 3.0
    2. Use TLS 1.0
  6. Click OK
