Computer Labs Throughout the campus
Extensive computing resources are available to all students, faculty and staff to improve the quality of the learning experience at Farmingdale State. They are offered in a fresh, air conditioned and comfortable environment. All Instructional Computing Labs are located in Whitman Hall and have access to the Internet, library resources and academic software. Each classroom lab is equipped with 28 computers and laser printers. The Open Student Computer Lab has state of the art computers
and laser printers.
Support Services
Instructional Computing offers support to Farmingdale students as well as the entire campus community. Such services include a Helpdesk, support of Digital’s Open VMS and UNIX systems, Banner, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 98 and MAC support. We also support several software programs including Microsoft Office XP, Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat, WS_FTP and Kermit.
Reserving a Lab
Any faculty member may schedule an Instructional lab to enhance their students' learning experience. Please call Instructional Computing at extension 2358 or 2444 to make arrangements.
