Advanced Standing RN to BS Completion
« Back to Previous Page
The first upper division Nursing courses were offered in Fall, 2007. The number of seats in this program are extremely limited. RNs who are interested in completing their BS degrees at Farmingdale are advised to start completing all the other program requirements (non Nursing courses).
Farmingdale does not have an accelerated option for individuals who already have a Bachelors Degree in another area. Students who are interested in an Accelerated Program are referred to Stony Brook University for this option.
Sample Program of Study
The RN BS completion track takes 2 years to complete and consists of 62 college credits beyond the associate degree (32 credits in the major and 60 credits of liberal arts and science).
Sample Nursing Curriculum Pattern
Students who enter the SUNY System after fall, 2000 must complete all General Education requirements as outlined on pgs. 50-52 of the College Catalog.
