STUDENT LABORATORIES
Hematology/Immunohematology/Phlebotom

The student laboratory located in room 417 in Gleeson Hall contains equipment and supplies for use in performing hematology, immunohematology and phlebotomy procedures.

Digital video microscopy technology is used for identification of cellular elements and demonstration of microscopic techniques.

State-of-the art clinical microscopes are used by students to practice microscopic techniques.

 

Automated instrumentation is used for performing hematology testing.

Students perform examinations for
agglutination as part of immunohematology
testing.

Students are taught proper phlebotomy procedures under direct supervision of faculty using artificial arms until proficiency is achieved.
