ICON Laboratories

ICON Laboratories is a privately operated laboratory specializing
in clinical trials testing. The clinical laboratory services include
routine and some specialty testing in Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology,
and Immunology/Serology with a moderate volume of procedures performed
annually. No Immunohematology is performed in the laboratory, therefore
students completing their clinical rotations at ICON Lab will attend
an alternate site for the Immunohematology portion of the clinical
experience.

LBMC is a 200 bed hospital serving the community of Long Beach on
the south shore of Long Island. The clinical laboratory services
include routine testing in all areas with a high volume of procedures
performed yearly.

NUMC is a tertiary care facility with 650 beds and 36 bassinets
serving central Nassau County. The clinical laboratory services
include routine and specialty testing in all areas with a high volume
of procedures performed on a daily basis.

North Shore University Hospital

NSUH is a 705 beds and 50 bassinets serving Manhasset, Great Neck,
and Lakeville communities. The clinical laboratory services include
routine & specialty testing in hematology, chemistry, blood
banking, and urinalysis. Students completing the clinical practicum
at this site will attend an alternate site for the microbiology
portion of the clinical experience.

for the blood banking portion of the clinical experience.

County. The clinical laboratory services include routine testing

Sunrise Medical Laboratories is a privately operated laboratory.
The clinical laboratory services include routine and some specialty
testing in Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Immunology/Serology
with a moderate volume of procedures performed annually. Very little
Immunohematology is performed in the laboratory, therefore students
completing their clinical rotations at SML will attend an alternate
site for the Immunohematology portion of the clinical experience.

The clinical laboratory service includes routine and specialty testing
in all areas with a large volume of procedures performed on a daily
basis.
Note: Placement of students at a clinical facility is done by
the MLT faculty. Students are responsible for transportation to
the facility to which they are assigned.
