Candidate’s Checklist

Order ceremony photograph for family by responding to email from Island Photography, going to the website at http://www.islandphoto.com/or calling 1-800-869-0908.

The following is a checklist you can download to ensure that you have done everything needed before the Winter Commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 12 noon (snow date Sunday, December 21 at the same times).  If you have any questions about the ceremony, you can email wintercommencement@farmingdale.edu.

File an “Intent to Graduate” form by Friday, November 20, 2014.

Questions about participating in the Winter Commencement on December 20 at 12 noon (snow date December 21), 2014 via email to wintercommencement@farmingdale.edu .

Visit the Barnes and Noble Bookstore to purchase a cap and gown. Caps and Gowns will be available for purchase on November 15 and later.
NOTE: You can visit the campus bookstore to purchase your cap and gown. The bookstore will be open during normal business hours during the week of December 16-20th. Please contact the bookstore with any cap and gown questions.

Attend preceremony instructions and line up at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2014 in Nold Hall. (Snow date, Sunday December 21 at the same times). Only graduating students allowed at rehearsal.)

Pick up ceremony tickets Monday - Friday, December 8 - 19  from 10:00 AM to 4 PM in Laffin Hall 314. All students will receive 8 tickets. More will probably be available  later.  When you pick up your tickets, please ask about extra tickets. If there are extras available, they will be distributed during the week of December 15 from 10-4 in the Dean of Students office.

 

Check name when picking up tickets for correct spelling

A coat room will be available for students only.

Pick up previously ordered caps and gowns, which will be distributed only at the bookstore.

Arrive promptly at 10:30 AM for the rehearsal on Saturday, December 20 (snow date Sunday December 21 at the same times). Only graduating students allowed at rehearsal. (Students must wear caps and gowns to participate in the ceremony.)
