Curriculum
Here at the Children's Center at Farmingdale State we use the Creative Curriculum for infants through Pre-school. This curriculum encompasses all areas of child development while incorporating all areas of the curriculum, (pre-writing, pre-math, pre-science, early literacy, music & movement). Teachers in the classroom are facilitators and nurturers, providing children with age appropriate activities, encouragement and support. Our Pre-k program provides children with the skills necessary for kindergarten.
Hours of Operation
The center is open 50 weeks a year, closing one week in August (in which you will receive a 1 week vacation credit), and closed one week during the Christmas Holiday. We are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Children may enroll for 2, 3 or 5 days.

Fundraising is an important form of revenue for The Children's Center. Many program activities come about through the money that is raised from these fundraisers. Programs include: music programs, visits from educational programs, holiday activities and our annual family picnic.
The center will be running an on going fundraiser through Mixed Bags along with our regular center fundraisers. Anyone wishing to order an awesome bag from Mixed Bags can do so by using our id number: 61733
