Professor Becker’s BBQ Sauce Update

Thanks to our retail partner, Zorn’s of Bethpage, for promoting sales of our wonderful product. Recently, alumnus Joe Egan and I appeared on the News 12 morning show where we were able to present recipes featuring the sauce. We met lots of hungry News 12 staffers that day. You can become a fan on Facebook at the Professor Becker’s BBQ Sauce Lovers’ group page. Also, you can friend us on the Facebook Farmingdale State College Alumni Association page.

Nominations for Centurion Club

We seek candidates for inclusion in the Centurion Club, which identifies the top 100 alumni of our first 100 years. To nominate yourself or other outstanding alumni, contact Alumni Relations at 631-420-2369 or email alumni@farmingdale.edu.

Contribute Through Annual Campaign

We have just concluded our Annual Campaign mailing. Watch for your materials to arrive in September. As we grow our outreach, your encouragement enhances alumni programming and scholarships. And, reconnecting during this special Centennial campaign is significant in documenting our college’s legacy. Thank you for your continuing support of alumni goals at Farmingdale State College.

Stay in Touch Through Harris Direct

Look for a Harris Direct postcard in the mail shortly. Your inclusion in the special Centennial Edition of the directory with enhanced features will enable us to verify your information. The directory is a great networking tool.

Partner with Engeman Theater

Our partnership with the John Engeman Theater in Northport has been very fruitful for the Alumni Association. Thanks to all who have attended performances at the theater and booked their tickets by using the FARM ALUM code.   Annual Alumni and Friends Baseball with the LI Ducks
  Join us for an exciting evening game (6 pm) at Bethpage Ballpark in Central Islip followed by Grucci fireworks after the game. The LI Ducks will play the Camden Riversharks. Tickets are $13 each. Contact Alumni Relations at 631-420-2369 to reserve your tickets.

  Great Lawn between Nold and Roosevelt Halls
  Join us for a fun time as we gather for this year’s Homecoming celebration. Festivities include a barbecue which of course uses Professor Becker’s BBQ sauce (an Alumni Association product) as well as games and exhibits. Activities will be fun for the whole family.
