All students applying to FSC must apply online using the SUNY Online Application.
Applicant Requirements
HS Applicant:
Applicants must graduate from high school or receive a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) prior to attending Farmingdale State College. Academic course requirements vary by major.
We recommend High School applicants apply by November 1st for the Fall semester and January 1st for the Spring semester to maximize their chances for financial aid, campus housing and consideration for their major of choice.
Transfer Applicant:
We recommend Transfer applicants apply by November 1st for the Fall semester and May 1st for the Spring semester to maximize their chances for financial aid, campus housing and consideration for their major of choice.
Farmingdale State College's more competitive programs, such as nursing, dental hygiene and applied psychology, require higher high school averages and have early application deadlines. Visit our Academic Programs page for more information regarding specific program requirements.

Advanced Placement (AP)
Farmingdale State College will accept a score of 3 or higher on most advanced placement exams. Please submit scores on an official report since scores will not be accepted in any other format.
College Credit
In order for Farmingdale State College to review credit(s) from a college or university, all students must submit an official college transcript. This applies to students taking college courses in high school, as well as transfer students. Please contact the Transfer Services Office for more information at 631-420-2643 or tsr@farmingdale.edu.
EOP Requirements
Students facing financial and educational barriers to college success are good candidates for the Educational Opportunity Program. EOP candidates submit financial eligibility information as well as academic information to apply to the program and receive financial and educational support.
