Transfer Credit Appeal Process

In the event that a student would like to challenge the evaluation of his/her transfer credits from other colleges and universities into Farmingdale State College, the following appeal process may be followed.

For courses within the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Health Sciences and the School of Engineering Technology, appeals are to be addressed to:

For courses under the School of Business (Business Management, Computer Programming and Information Systems, Ornamental Horticulture, Sport Management, Visual Communications), appeals are to be addressed to:

-The applicant should provide name, Ram ID #, and a clear explanation as to why the initial response was believed inappropriate. Including evidence as to why the course(s) should be considered transferable would assist in the appeal process. Examples of evidence include a comparison of topics covered, credit hours, lab hours, sample course syllabi or other material indicating the courses are comparable.
