Function of The Office of Institutional Research

The Office of Institutional Research reports to the Provost and exists to advance the understanding, planning, operation, evaluation, and improvement of Farmingdale State College through the dissemination of clear and consistent data, information and analysis.

More specifically, the Office of Institutional Research provides Farmingdale's administrative and academic departments and our external constituencies with data and analysis to support assessment efforts, planning and decision making. The office also serves as the official reporting source for mandated college data to SUNY System Administration, as well as to the State Education Department and federal reporting agencies, such as IPEDS. We also process campus surveys, such as the Student Opinion Survey and the student feedback surveys and respond to requests from internal and external constituencies for information and statistics about the institution.
