Advanced Standing – Associate Degree Program

The following Credit-by-Evaluation process is for students who are transferring from nursing programs and who request credit for NUR 108, Theory and Practice of Nursing I. Each student will be evaluated on an individual basis, and must meet the following criteria Completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing course equivalent to NUR 108

1. The Chairperson of the Nursing Department will determine equivalency after reviewing the course outline.
2. Course must have been taken within three years.
3. Student must have received a grade of C+ or better.

After all the above criteria have been met, the student will be granted 6 credits for NUR 108, after successful completion of NUR 109.
