What Is Narrative Pedagogy?

Narrative Pedagogy, a research –based approach to teaching, challenges the notion that students who master content will have the knowledge and skills necessary for contemporary practice. It is a student-centered approach in which students and teachers are partners and co-learners in the education process.

Please join this multidisciplinary conference as professionals share how Narrative Pedagogy shifts the focus from teacher-centered activities to community oriented strategies such as sharing and interpreting experiences. This approach to learning promotes reading, writing, reflection and dialog.

We invite professionals from all disciplines to submit an abstract to the International Narrative Pedagogy Conference. This conference will explore ways that narratives can enhance the teaching/learning environment. Narratives provide knowledge gained through reflection and analysis. Experiences shared through narratives generate understanding essential to practice.

Continuing Education Credits

This activity has been submitted to the Arizona Nurses' Association for approval to award
contact hours. The Arizona Nurses' Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses' Credentialing.

Nursing CEUs and Evaluations

Participants must attend the entire conference to receive the accredited CEUs.
