Program Educational Objectives
Computer Engineering Technology

  1. Graduates will be technically competent and will have the necessary skills to enter careers in areas such as the design, development, implementation and project management of computer hardware and software systems and networks using modern procedures and methodologies available in the field of Computer Engineering Technology.
  2. Graduates will be good communicators and will function effectively in teams.
  3. Graduates will develop and be able to maintain the necessary knowledge as well as an appropriate level of competency in current scientific methodologies so as to be able to formulate and solve technical problems and further develop and maintain their professional skills throughout their careers.
  4. Graduates will have an appreciation and understanding of the necessity for personal integrity, professional ethics and cultural awareness.

Electrical Engineering Technology

  1. Graduates will be technically competent and will have the necessary skills to enter careers where they can apply their analytical and design skills in the areas of Electronics, Communications and Control Systems as well as technical Project Management.
  2. Graduates will develop and be able to maintain the necessary knowledge as well as an appropriate level of competency in current scientific methodologies so as to be able to formulate and solve technical problems and further develop and maintain their professional skills throughout their careers.
  3. Graduates will have the knowledge and skills needed to be lifelong learners.
  4. Graduates will have an appreciation and understanding of the necessity for personal integrity, professional ethics and cultural awareness.

Student Outcomes

Upon completion of the program students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate mastery of knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of their discipline
  2. Apply current knowledge and adapt to emerging applications of mathematics, science, engineering and technology
  3. Conduct, analyze and interpret experiments and apply experimental results to improve processes
  4. Apply creativity in the design of systems, components or processes appropriate to program educational objectives

This is a new Bachelor of Science program which will produce its first graduating class in May, 2015.
