The Second Annual Native American Symposium: "Constructing Native American History on Long Island and Abroad."
Friday October 28, 2016, 1:00 - 3:30 pm
Farmingdale State College's Roosevelt Hall Little Theater

Presented by: The Social Science Research Institute's Center for Social Justice
In Collaboration with Anthropology Professors Dr. Anjana Mebane-Cruz, and Dr. Allison McGovern
This event included presentations and public dialogue on the politics and challenges of constructing Native American history with interested members of the public, students, and scholars. This year's program continued the great discussions between speakers and the general public that were begun at the 2015 First Annual Native American Symposium. Our scope was broadened to include new, active research under the direction of Farmingdale State College anthropologists, Dr. Allison Manfra McGovern and Dr. Anjana Mebane-Cruz.
