For over 35 years the New York State Assembly and Senate have offered paid internships to four year degree seeking students in any major during the legislative session that begins every January and runs through May. Over 35 Farmingdale students have been awarded and participated in the internship program. Participating students gain valuable experience working in state government and earn up to fifteen credit hours towards their degree while serving in these positions. These internships pay $4500 and are in residence in Albany.
Information sessions on these unique internship opportunities are being held on Thursday, April 24th, and Monday, April 28th in Whitman Hall Room 111. An additional information session is being held in the Campus Center Commons Area on Monday, April 21st from 11-11:45 AM.
