Marie Pullan, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the Computer Systems Department at Farmingdale State College (FSC) in Farmingdale, NY. She obtained her Ph.D. in Computing Technology in Education from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was awarded the 2012 SUNY Chancellors Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Marie's research interests include online teaching and learning specifically geared toward millennials, communication and program issues, assistive technology and computer-supported learning. Most recently, she has developed and introduced a robotics course at FSC. The robotics course was developed with the support of a five-year $2-million Title III "Strengthening Institutions" grant from the US Department of Education. Farmingdale State College (FSC) is currently undertaking a comprehensive strategic initiative that is designed to transform FSC into a more "learner-centered" institution.
