College-Wide Student Support

Need help?  The School of Arts & Sciences operates four Support Centers benefitting all Farmingdale students:

• The History, Economics & Politics Student Resource Center provides peer tutors and assistance for students taking courses in History, Economics and Politics.
• The Language Center offers tutoring to students who are taking classes in French, Italian or Spanish and need help reviewing grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing and pronunciation.
• The Nancy C. Thomson Mathematics Learning Center offers free mathematics tutoring on a regular basis and presents workshops and final exam review sessions for many of the Mathematics Department's courses.
• The Writing Center assists students through the entire writing process, providing assistance from conception to completion of written assignments for any course in any curriculum.
