History Minor
The History minor is designed for students who are interested in deepening their knowledge of American, Western, and World History in order to support their long-term career goals. Selection of courses will depend on the interest of the student. Students seeking to gain an M.A. in teaching will be particularly well-served by this minor program.
The history minor consists of 18 hours of history courses (HIS prefix) with no more than 2 courses at the 100 level, and at least 2 courses must be 300 level or above.
History Minor: 18 credit hours (6 courses)
No more than 6 credit hours (2 courses) at the 100 level. At least 6 credit hours (2 courses) at the 300 level or above. At least 12 credit hours (4 courses) must be taken at Farmingdale State College. All courses must be in history.*
