Dr. Louise Napolitano-Carman, full professor of English/Humanities at Farmingdale State College and recipient the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, earned her B.A. from Adelphi University and Ph.D. from Stony Brook University (SUNY).  She has written numerous articles on American literature—more specifically Italian American literature, and she is author of the book An American Story: Pietro DiDonato's Christ in Concrete , a close analysis of  DiDonato’s masterpiece, as well as an overview of his major works.
