Experience at Farmingdale State College and Elsewhere:
Dr Beverly Kahn joined Farmingdale State College in 2008 as Provost. She brought with her extensive experience as a faculty member and academic administrator at the University of South Carolina, The Ohio State University, Fairfield University, and Pace University. A former Fulbright Scholar, Dr Kahn contributes to the College these days as a Professor of Political Science, Academic Advisor in Technology Studies, Grant-writer, and Coordinator of many special projects, including service as Director of the Academic Advisement and Information Center.

Olympia has been with FSC since 2001 as a Professor in the English Department. She has also worked with the Educational Opportunity Program as an instructor and writing tutor since 2006.

Tanya Maurer

Tanya has been with Farmingdale College since 2001 as an adjunct professor in the English Department. She has taught classes such as Freshman Composition and Introduction to Literature to Writing for Electronic Media and also facilitates an online class titled The Short Story.

Margaret Pettit

Margaret has been with Farmingdale since 2007 providing career and employment counseling services, job readiness training and developing employer relationships for adult transitioning students participating in the vocational training programs provided at the LIEOC.

Additional Experience:
Margaret enjoys providing comprehensive academic/career guidance to students of all ages transitioning to and from college, into a new career and/or overcoming employment obstacles. She is actively involved in community programs providing counseling services to adults with ADHD, LDs and mental health concerns. Margaret has specialized in international student services, non-traditional student services, drug and alcohol dependency counseling and public services program development.

Denise Letterel

Denise has been with Farmingdale College since April, 2011, joining the upstart of the Academic Advisement and Information Center

Additional Experience:
Denise has an extensive background as both an Administrative Assistant and Personal Assistant. Her experience includes such positions as, Assistant to the President at the  American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. (ABC), Assistant to the Executive Vice President of Hearst Magazines, and the Assistant to the Chairman of the Leslie Fay Companies, Inc., a fashion industry leader. Most recently she has worked as the Personal Assistant to former Leslie Fay Chairman and his wife (Principal and Founder of a commercial real estate firm for the Fashion Industry). In addition, Denise served as PTA First VicePresident and Treasurer  for six years at Fairfield Elementary School.

Experience at Farmingdale State College:
Yinan joined the Farmingdale State College and works for the AAIC in January, 2011. She is creating and managing database and website for the AAIC, and providing technical support as well. Her prior experience is as a Technical Support for 8 years in the City University of New York (CUNY) and Texas Southern University (TSU).
