Fostering, Assessing, and Sustaining Student Engagement

Dates: March 19-20, 2010

Deadline for Submissions: November 16, 2009

Based on feedback from our 2009 attendees, we are considering several important changes to the content and format of the conference for next year.  While we will always maintain our dedication to research and workshops on psychology pedagogy, we are also looking to expand the offerings of the conference to address other needs of academic psychologists.

We invite you to submit your proposals for the 2010 conference. Presentations can cover any topic related to the teaching of psychology. Those related to this year’s theme are especially encouraged. Other topics may include active learning, pedagogical innovations, international psychology, classroom technology, mentoring, writing textbooks, program assessment, and evaluation. Proposals for oral presentations, panels, workshops, and round table discussions will be considered. This year, we will also have a student poster session where undergraduate students can present their research activities related to the teaching of psychology.
